Hello Python Team,

I am looking for a sponsor for the new package "pymatting" (Bug: 1126080). It
is a
library for alpha matting, which is required for rembg (which I also intend to
package)

It builds fine with sbuild and is lintian clean.

https://salsa.debian.org/Arian-Ott/pymatting

Some side information:

* Pymatting depends on numba which specifically requires Python3.13.
* i386 disabled due to numba dependency

Furthermore, I had contact with the upstream maintainers about version
mismatching.

The outcome is documented here:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1126080

After sending the first email, I haven't received any response from the BTS
that the email is processed. To ensure that the upstream interaction is
properly documented, I resent the contents of the email. Some time later, both
emails were processed and added to the BTS. Hence, the duplicate emails.

I would be happy if someone could review my contribution and give me feedback
on this.

Once the code is reviewed and feedback implemented, I intend to migrate
pymatting from my private salsa to the python team.

Thanks.

Best regards,
Arian Ott
