Dear debian-python team,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "python-lap", which is required to update beets music tagger which I intend to adopt in #1088977.

I've improved the package with the help of Aryan in #1111566. (I'm not sure if this RFS should have been a retitle of that ITP bug, but let me know if I should close one or the other and rename the remaining bug.)

Since I was granted access to the python team on salsa I transferred the package to python-team/packages.

Please let me know what I should improve or which steps I can take to have this package uploaded to the archives, which will unblock #1088977 for the orphaned beets package which needs an update.
