Its probably a very good idea to file a bug report against this package
severity wishlist with subject "New version available".

May be you can provide a patch which increases the chances that this
bug will be fixed.

Unfortunately its to late for Buster (and I agree its a shame).

Kind regards

      Andreas.

Hi Ryan,

With so many Java packages and so few developers on the Debian Java
team, it is difficult to keep everything up to date or to determine
which old versions are affecting users. So thank you for bringing this
up.

As Andreas suggests, please file a severity wishlist bug against the
package to help us keep track. And if you have patches, you can attach
them to the bug.

Once buster is released, I'm willing to take a look at updating the
package. Since the package is arch:all, it shouldn't be a problem to
use the updated package from unstable/testing on buster (assuming the
newer version doesn't pull in new dependencies not present in buster).

Cheers,
tony

Hi Ryan,

I have just uploaded a packaged version of 1.3.1. Please give it a try
when you have a chance and let me know if there are any problems with
the update.

It didn't take much to update it, so it should be easy enough to
recompile it against buster if that's your target release. If there's
enough interest, we could also do a proper backport.

Cheers,
tony
