JAR files are PKZIP archives and as such cannot hold symlinks,
which aren’t supported in the Java ecosystem anyway (not really,
individual counter-examples notwithstanding).

The best option is (probably) to patch the code to load the
fonts from the Debian locations and add Depends: lines manually.
