object-format=sha256 at Salsa

Hello,


On a git repository created with `git init --objectformat=sha256 .`
gets a `git push salsa`
  fatal: protocol error: unexpected capabilities^{}
back. 


Where to ask for enabling SHA256 checksums on git repositories
hosted at https://salsa.debian.org ?  Or where to lobby for it?     :-)


What I understand from https://git-scm.com/docs/hash-function-transition is  
that supporting objectformat=sha256 is from 2018.

It would be nice that Salsa also supports sha256sums.
