Git 3.0 is tentatively planned for release in September 2026.  It will
bring SHA-256 and reftable as defaults, as well as mandatory Rust
support.  It would be helpful if Debian built the package in
experimental with WITH_BREAKING_CHANGES to test out the SHA-256 and
reftable support so that Debian users and developers can test these
features out and make any appropriate changes.  Rust support will be
enabled by default in either 2.54 or 2.55, so enabling that by default
in experimental would be helpful as well.
