Hi,

I think the only remaining rdepends are now libobjcryst0 and
objcryst-fox (Maintainers in CC).  These seem to be lagging behind
upstream as well so it might be worth checking whether these build
against newmat11.

I've injected a branch 

   https://salsa.debian.org/science-team/newmat/-/tree/newmat11?ref_type=heads

featuring packaging code which build newmat11.  I have *not tested* this
neither did I bumped the SONAME (which is most probably needed).
