Salve a tutti, il mio sistema operativo è *Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS*, ed ho 
una domanda sulle mailbox locali di Thunderbird.

Situazione attuale:

$ cd ~/".thunderbird/xxx.default/Mail/Local Folders"
$ ls -l mbox
lrwxrwxrwx 1 xxx xxx 15 ago 23 12:23 mbox -> /home/io/mbox

Come vedete ho il symlink *mbox* che punta al file reale /home/io/mbox 
(che sarebbe una mailbox che contiene vari messaggi).

Adesso attenzione.

- Apro thunderbird
- Click destro sulla cartella *mbox*
- Scelgo *Compatta* (https://i.snipboard.io/Y8Seqx.jpg)

Il problema è che succede una cosa strana, cioè il symlink *mbox* viene
sostituito da un file reale:

$ ls -l mbox
-rw------- 1 xxx xxx 0 ago 23 14:18 mbox

Perche?
