No, e` presente, come puoi verificare nella sezione
"Ricerca nell’elenco dei pacchetti"
di questa pagina:
https://www.debian.org/distrib/packages#search_packages

Per risolvere, modifica (con 'gedit' o con il tuo editor di testi
preferito) il file sources.list :

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Cancelli cio` che vi trovi scritto ed incolli queste righe:


### STABLE (Jessie)
deb http://security.debian.org/ stable/updates main contrib non-free
deb http://httpredir.debian.org/debian/ stable main contrib non-free 
deb http://httpredir.debian.org/debian/ stable-updates main contrib non-free 
### BACKPORTS
# deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ jessie-backports main


poi dopo che avrai dato nel terminale i comandi:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

per aggiornare tutto, potrai anche installare Vlc:

sudo apt-get install vlc

Quando e` tutto a posto, credo che potrai facilmente installare
anche SystemBack con il metodo che avevi gia` provato ad usare.
