in effetti i modelli che hai segnalato, che ammetto di non conoscere direttamente,
non sono presenti nel database di openprinting.org 
tuttavia posso far presente che per quanto riguarda la seconda multifunzione che hai
portato come esempio (mi riferisco al modello MFC-L2860DWE) sembra che esistano
tutta una serie di download [1] di driver e tool dal sito brother direttamente in
formato deb.

potrebbe valere la pena approfondire la cosa.
