Se c'è windows CE di mezzo allora ho capito perchè c'è il problema della IDE, il SDK deve integrarsi con l'emulatore e via dicendo immagino.

Ad ogni modo, puoi tranquillamente mantenere due versioni di VS installate contemporaneamente sulla stessa macchina, non danno conflitti (noi lo abbiamo fatto per un bel po' tra il 2005 e il 2010)

Basta che stai attento a non convertire le solution che vuoi ancora mantenere col 2008 in formato nuovo e non ci sono problemi
