Hi, I did some testing on 6.2.5 with jcchess gui. I ran it with --uci parameter. The issue is that when the engine responds there is a spurious prompt of 'White (1) :' that gets sent early on. So instead of responding to 'uci' with 'id name GNU Chess 6.2.5' I get 'White (1) : id name GNU Chess 6.2.5' which messes up the engine name. I tried with Arena 1.1 for Linux as well and it has a similar issue in that the response to the the initial 'isready' is 'White (1) : readyok' instead of just 'readyok'. It still works, just takes an extra 20 seconds waiting. I can send logs if needed. Regards, John Cheetham .
