imadev:~$ bash
imadev:~$ popd
bash: popd: directory stack empty
imadev:~$ dirs
~

*shrug* I don't use these commands, so I don't know either.  One of them
says it's empty, and the other says it has ~ in it.

More legacy csh rubbish.
