As many of you may know, it's possible to take sketches built with The Geometer's Sketchpad and convert them to Java Sketchpad to be viewed on the web. However, Java has a host of security issues and the conversion process is not very robust.

Web Sketchpad is a brand new technology from McGraw Hill that is exceedingly more powerful.

Interacting with Web Sketchpad content requires nothing more than a modern HTML5 web browser.

You can find examples of Web Sketchpad content on a blog that I maintain with Scott Steketee (sineofthetimes.org), on the Geometric Functions site (geometricfunctions.org), in an article Scott and I wrote for Mathematics Teacher last year (www.nctm.org/Publications/Mathematics-Teacher/2016/Vol109/Issue6/Connecting-Functions-in-Geometry-and-Algebra/), and in Illuminations (illuminations.nctm.org/ --from the navigation bar choose Interactives | Web Sketchpad).

Nearly any sketch you've created with desktop Sketchpad can be converted to a Web Sketchpad model through a simple export process. If you're interested in creating your own non-commercial Web Sketchpad content, just let me know, and I will sign you up for our beta test. My e-mail is dscher (at) kcptech (dot) com.
