La situation n'est pas du tout celle que tu imagines. J'ai contacté Apple pour savoir ce que je pouvais faire avec mon iMac. Apple m'a répondu qu'il était très facile de placer un disque SSD dans un MacBook, ce que beaucoup de gens ont fait, ce qui permet de mettre à jour le système, et de prolonger la durée de vie du laptop. En revanche, c'est très compliqué, à cause de la dalle d'écran etc. de placer un disque SSD dans un iMac. Et même, si j'étais très bidouilleur, et que j'arrivais à placer un SSD, ensuite il faudrait que j'investisse dans de nouveaux logiciels. Car les logiciels qui fonctionnent actuellement utilisent Rosetta, qui est la machine virtuelle PowerPC pour MacIntel. Rosetta sera supprimée, par la mise à jour du système. C'est pourquoi je te parle "d'investir considérablement" dans ma machine qui a 10 ans. Placer un disque SSD est pratiquement impossible. D'autre part, la plupart de mes logiciels actuels ne fonctionneraient plus. Ça n'est pas un mensonge. Figure toi que je me suis bien renseigné sur ce que je pouvais faire avec ma machine, qui fonctionne parfaitement, malgré les limites auxquelles je me heurte, d'obsolescence programmée. L'informatique étant en perpétuel changement, il devient de plus en plus difficile d'utiliser normalement mon vieux matériel.
