Da sie für einen Helligkeitsbereich lineare ohmsche Widerstände darstellen,
werden Optokoppler mit Fotowiderständen in spannungsgesteuerten Filtern
(z. B. Phaser) eingesetzt, wo sie eine bessere Linearität im Vergleich
zu Alternativen (z. B. Feldeffekttransistoren) haben.
