Bei bc(1) ist der Punkt als Dezimaltrenner
tatsächlich festgelegt.

LC_CTYPE könnte den Umbruch bei überlanger
Ausgabe beeinflussen, darüber hinaus, was
als LETTER als Variablen- oder Funktionsname 
akzeptiert wird.

Aber bei GNU bc 1.07.1:

,----[ bc(1) ]
|    DIFFERENCES
|        [...]
|        LANG environment
|               This  version does not conform to the POSIX standard in the pro‐
|               cessing of the LANG environment  variable  and  all  environment
|               variables starting with LC_.
