Servus Peter! Auch wenn das nicht exakt die Antwort ist, die Du evtl. suchst. Für den Laptop nimm lieber eine der besseren IDEs Python-Entwicklungs-Umgebungen <https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Python_%28Programmiersprache%29#Entwicklungsumgebung>. Damit ist das Debuggen sehr viel einfacher. Auch wenn die Einarbeitung in eine solche IDE seine Zeit kostet - es lohnt sich.
