Usually these companies can¹t claim that they don¹t have the resources or enough potential users of their product, but what about smaller independent developers?

Software developer make more money from iOS, and thus develop first for iOS. There are more "smart" android devices, but most of them are cheap pieces of crap. A lot are owned by people who would never buy an app, even fro $0.99. And, the OS is a bitch to deal with for developers and it is very difficult to write a _good_ app because the devices are all over the place and you cannot count on even a very minimal base-level of capabilities. The money is in iOS, so the developers are in iOS. Android is what you d -- For more than a thousand generations the Jedi were the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy. Before the dark times. Well stated. Personally, a market share means nothing to me. I'm the type who would have enjoyed playing on my Sega Master System even if everyone had purchased a Nintendo. Market shares are for those who believe that it is absolutely necessary to do what the other sheep are doing. I use a Windows Phone myself and had Blackberrys before that.
