Claims about devices that have only just been released and nobody has 
had a good time to play with yet.

The reality is that there aren't many other ARM-based OSes that are 
worth using, so if you want Windows, Linux, etc. you're likely going to 
be using emulation anyway. ARM-Windoze, for example as it's most widely 
used, is mostly reported as being horrible, so you'll be better off 
with Parallels / VMWare and normal Windoze 10 ... given the power / 
speed increase of the M1 it's likely such emulation will be around the 
same speed, if not faster, than running those OSes natively in the 
first place.

the start, that has been the trend for 3 decades: functions that used to

iMacs/Pros that have user memory expansion for example.  Possibly even 
GPU's - though I suspect Apple are not going there...

plenty because M1 doesn't need as much memory, and that closed systems
that can't get any upgrade are fine, that built-in GPUs are fine and

The issue is is that **IF** the M1 chip is the shape of things to come
in terms of having truly everything in one chip, this poses some
challenges that ask questions on how Apple will scale it to span all the
way up to Mac Pro.
