The reality is that there aren't many other ARM-based OSes that are worth using, so if you want Windows, Linux, etc. you're likely going to be using emulation anyway. ARM-Windoze, for example as it's most widely used, is mostly reported as being horrible, so you'll be better off with Parallels / VMWare and normal Windoze 10 ... given the power / speed increase of the M1 it's likely such emulation will be around the same speed, if not faster, than running those OSes natively in the first place.

Not at all. Just because the configuration is pretty much fixed from
the start, that has been the trend for 3 decades: functions that used to
require an expansion card slot became part of the motherboard. Now
these functions are becoming part of the SOC.
It remains to be seen how the next round of Macs will go. We may see
iMacs/Pros that have user memory expansion for example. Possibly even
GPU's - though I suspect Apple are not going there...
And of course this doesn't prevent anyone from adding peripherals via
the USB (Thunderbold) ports.
You're making stuff up because the rest of your statements are falling
to pieces. Or because you're very unsatisfied with your recent CPU

Render times when either Premiere or After Effects makes full use of cores are hugely shorter.
