Yeah, similar to another question of late:

I'm updating my wife's computer from Mojave to Catalina. Seems I've
waited a couple of days to long. The only update available is now Big
Sur.

Can anyone supply a link to a Catalina update?

This works for me:

softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 10.15.7

I often ignore posts from Google. Use a real news client instead.

Managed to find it but clipping the first part of the link provided up
stream and googling it:

apps.apple.com/gb/app

and added "catalina" to the search, found it, clicked on it and have
begun the install. I now see, as it is doing it's installation, that
it has "gb" in it. Is that likely to cause me problems?

If so, how to recover from it?

Seems to have worked out fine.
