#83946 — More lies from Snit

FromSteve Carroll <fretwizzen@gmail.com>

SubjectMore lies from Snit
Message-ID<d141afd0-82e8-47e0-9fe9-5f2ec8e4846c@googlegroups.com>
In comp.sys.mac.system Snit recently told the following lie. It is similar to his past lies about Apple making special deals with him.

Apple support goes above and beyond again

Apple support is awesome. Machine OUT of AppleCare and they still fixed it
for free and even picked it up and should drop it off tonight. Was done
yesterday but I was out of town

I do not live near an Apple store so actual work done by an authorized
dealer. They ran a full diagnostic and had one test come up odd so replaced
the logic board, too (went in for a minor monitor issue - some spots with
poor color).
-----

Others then shared stories which were likely true. We all know Snit has no "off" switch with his lies so he had to tell an even bigger lie to top the other stories.

OK, Apple provides AWESOME service again

Recently posted about Apple doing some work on a machine, for free, even
though it was out of warrantee.

Great service.

But they topped it now.

My wife has an old 2007 iMac. In 2009 it had its motherboard replaced. Turns
out they goofed when they put it in and did not put in a serial number (yes,
similar to my machine where they put in a WRONG serial number).

I called Apple about issues dealing with 10.11 and iCloud / iTunes. They did
some investigating, had me run a program to collect info from the machine,
and decided it was THEIR fault all the way back in 2009. So they are, again,
sending someone from over 100 miles away to come to MY house and fix the
computer.

For free.

A 2007 computer that they last serviced in 2009.

And they are taking full responsibility and fixing it for free.

They also note they only have a "handful" of computers which have had
missing or goofed serial numbers. The chance of my getting two is
astronomically small. But also the story of my life. :)
-----

Complete and utter bullshit. Apple is not going to fix a machine from 2007 for free, no matter how much they might have screwed up in 2009. Nor is it possible a machine would even work for all those years without a serial number. He lies to seem special and to make it seem like he gets special deals from Apple and others. He longs to be liked and seen as good.

Snit is completely full of shit.

He's evidently got serious emotional issues and needs professional help.

For the last 10+ years and in more than 10 groups (by his own links). And in
all that time he cannot find quotes FROM me to back his points.

Which is pathetic.

You need to get a real life, man. Cuz this? Seriously? You can't
stop spamming by trolls by being a spamming troll!

Take a breath, do some yoga, spank your inner muppet, whatever. But get

A least you realize Snit is an annoying troll but then you pretend I am anything like him.

Snit is the one who asked me to point out his wrongs. Not my fault if he does not like it when I do it.

Oh, this is going to be fun! A classic troll. We can torment you and
get your blood pressure up and see how soon your head pops! I'll make
popcorn.

No one gives a shit, Steve. Well, I suppose you do. You'll save time
and electrons if you use a mirror to rant at. Or a confessor.

We've all seen this shit before. A lot. It used to happen ALL THE
TIME, was extremely boring, and led nowhere, always. The most that
happens is you drive everyone away, either from the newsgroup or by
getting PLONKed by everyone else, whether they tell you or not.

If you enjoy drama, rant away. We might grade you on rant quality. Or
we might not. I can almost guarantee you'll get low grades due to lack
of originality.

Someone pricked your little ego. Whether it was a real offense or only
in your head, we don't care. Get over it.

Put another way: Lies? On the *internet*?!? That NEVER happens!

You do not give a shit about your group being ruined by the most hated troll in history. Great. Let him ruin it. All I can do is warn you and expose him.

It is clear by now you are one of his socks or shills. Nobody else defends him.

So plonk me already. I can still post the truth about Snit.

Typical Snit move as you work to turn this around to be about me. This is about Snit and his bizarre behavior.

Lies mean nothing to you so you shill for Snit.

I predict that won't happen. He's trolling hard. He seems abnormally
obsessed and should probably seek professional help getting a grip on
his emotional issues.

My prediction: He is posting here with his "fretwizzen" account. When most
have kill filed that account he will come here with his "fretwizzer" account
and many other socks. And he will blame me for his posts.

If you check out comp.os.linux.advocacy you will see he is posting much the
same with his fretwizzer account... but he does this in group after group.

This has been going on since 2004. My last response to him was in 2011, and
then only one post. Before that it was in 2009. So for more than half a
decade he has been harassing me online, contacting my employer and coworkers
and family and clients and more, and then saying it is all my fault because
of some wrong he imagines I did him in 2004 (but he will not say what).

Anyway, I have given him too much attention as is. So enough about him and,
hopefully, back to technology.

Nah, he'll continue to generate drama whether we talk with him or not.
It's not like he's the first to do this by several dozen. Personally,
I'll plonk him when I get bored with his efforts. Until then, I'll
call him my chum. As in "fish bait".

Jesus, he's not even the steam on the shit of some of the great trolls of our time.

No, the worst troll is in alt.support.attn-deficit. That one drove
almost everyone away. comp.sys.mac.* is too strong for that.

I'm sure I'll get there in time. Maybe a very little time, maybe more
than that. <shrug>

Not quite. This is USENET. People shit on others all the time, get
upset about perceived problems, and make lots of drama. That's very
common. And you're begging the question wrt Snit. So far, all he's
done is post a useful answer for a question I asked.

This is good popcorn.

He says I ask for him to show my wrongs so this excuses his obsessions and
lies where he never shows my wrongs. It is... odd.

But the show is tiresome. Maybe not to you, but I don't see anyone else
who's enthralled.

I suppose there's no chance that either of you can simply not take the
bait of the other?

I have responded to only one of his posts since 2009 (and that was in 2011).
I do sometimes respond to those who respond to him. Likely too much.
