Everywhere I look on the Apple site the Command Line Tools are labeled
"beta" - any official version out for 10.11?

Re-compiled a program after a very minor change and compilation stopped
in the middle. After 10 minutes of looking for the (compiler
unspecified bug) it dawned on me that I hadn't compiled anything since
OS X came out. Might have to go backwards to 10.10 on one Mac until
it's resolved.

The only one I see for download is Command Line Tools (OS X 10.11) for
Xcode 7.1 beta 3 released on Oct 6, 2015.

Exactly. I'll try it and we'll see. Can't be worse than current state.

I DL'd the latest XCode, but under Prefs|Download there is no CLT which
is where I previously retrieved them ...

To install the command line developer tools, run:

    xcode-select --install

You'll then be prompted to run:

    xcodebuild -license

I'll note, I'm running Xcode 7.0.1, not the beta version.

DL'd the Beta from Apple directly (it's not available via the DL within
XCode) and compiled my progs with no issue.
