And many people report issues when upgrading to a brand new version of the OS, or any other app for that matter. Waiting for the dust to settle is simply the more sensible option. For example, many people with older MacBook Pros are finding that trying to update to Big Sur turns their laptop into a giant paperweight ... although in *some* cases it may simply be being caused by impatient people 'pulling the plug' mid-update due to Apple's server issues causing long dealys where the computer seems to be doing nothing.
