If you want to find out which specific model you have, choose Apple menu > About This Mac, click System Report, copy the Serial Number, then go to <http://support.apple.com/specs>, paste the serial number into the search field, and click the Search button. The technical specifications document for your model will appear, the title of which will show your model - for instance, "MacBook Pro (17-inch, Late 2011)". -- E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my ravenous SPAM filter.
