Correct. And if you want multiple sizes you are better off with multiple
files, which you can create with a site like this:

You can also do that manually with the plugin for Photoshop but it would
take a while (or you could script it).

Add to that, on OS X, it does not tie to the system wide color selector or
other system services. Adobe is not great about tying their products to the
OS X services (and the newest Dreamweaver ALSO does not tie to the system
color selector which is stupid!) but at least Photoshop does.

On Linux this is less of an issue: their are few system wide services. It is
a far more limited environment. But on OS X where you have more choice
programs should take advantage of that choice! Heck, GIMP does not even use
the system file selectors... which you DO have on Linux. It is not made to
be tied to the systems it runs on.
