I have an 2016 Macbook Pro that I bought right after they came out in November. Since I do some occasional presentations with VGA projectors, I asked what adapter I would need for that purpose and I was told to use the USB-C to VGA adapter as the mini-display port adapter would not work. Since then I have had no problems connecting to a projector when using the USB-C to VGA adapter ( I did buy the Belkin, since it was available through the Apple Store). -- Paul Goodman
