I still use an old Mac (as my only Mac) simply because it still works and does everything I need it to do - "If it aint broke, don't fix it". The PowerMac is also used every day to run my own computer business, so yes I am a "professional". In fact the reason it's not still running only OS 9 is due to a useless ISP called Vodafone New Zealand who can't fix their own servers, so people running old version of Mac OS cannot log in via dial-up connections.
