I removed the Oracle 1.7 (move the folder to the trash and deleted the 
preference pane short cut), and reinstalled the Java for OS X 2013-005 
and the Java Developer Package for OS X 2013-005.

I can build again.

I am using Java 1.6, but have no immediate need to use the 1.7 version. 
 Still, it would be nice to know if anyone is building with the 1.7 
version from Oracle.
