A few days ago Apple changed the discussions forums. Now many people
cannot sign in. When logging in with your Apple ID you get this :
"We're sorry. Your account could not be created due to system issues.
Please contact Apple Support Communities with the information below to
create your account."

I have seen that my real name is visible in the forum not my username,
(which can be viewed without logging in, but no posting is possible).
And the info about myself is old, gives my old computer and info stuff.
So I guess they haven't transferred all accounts yet.

Other people having the same problem signing in on the ASCommunities?

I just logged in, the first time in a while. It had me agree to its
requirements, but accepted my old userID and password (the same one
that I use in its support forum).

Well, that figures. It seems they have transferred the members info
from some time ago, and haven't yet reached the later
additions/changes.
Maybe it's a matter of waiting for them to be finished with the
complete transfer.
Though it is unnerving that you don't hear a word from Apple.

Isn't transferring files (probably grouped in a single folder) a fast
operation?
At least in the Finder, even big folders are moved (or copied) in less
than a day.

Apple was more informative in the OS 9 days. It seems they want to be
more in the marketing area than they used to be (and it's a shame).

I still haven't heard from Apple. It's impossible to sign in, with new
or old ID, and it's impossible to create a new ID only for this Apple
Support Communities.
Is Apple losing it?

No, I managed to log in OK on Sunday (IIRC).

One slightly annoying feature is that quite a lot of your profile is
public by default. Very Facebook. Luckily it is rather easier than in
Facebook to turn the information private again.
