Indeed, I cannot imagine any upside for the public. The two organizations
offer similar products, so the main effect of the merger will be to
reduce consumer choice, and reduce competition.
Who is left in this business? Western Digital, Seagate, Fujitsu,
Samsung.
As of this moment, the most reliable drives I can find are Western
Digital "Black" brand. Any other suggestions?
