The limitations, if any, are the same you get with a laptop minus any battery issues. Most are limited to possible upgrades of memory or hard drive space. The rest of the hardware is usually closed to the consumer for upgrades. If you are heavy into high end computer games make sure that the device you purchase can handle the game(s) you want to run on it. Get a money back return policy, in writing, for at least 30 days with out a heavy restocking fee, just in case the game(s) you want to install will not work on the box.
