Deal with it, that's definitely going to happen. :p

I don't think there's any way to get everything 'right' during a
normal playthrough without spoilers. For one thing, you often don't
see any immediate consequences for your actions. You'll do something
and won't see it's affects until several hours of gameplay later. If
you try to play this game as a perfectionist, I think you'll get
terribly frustrated. One of the things I like about the game is that
there are consequences to what you're doing, and you can't get around
those with a simple save, reload, 'lets try a different dialogue
option'.

From what I'm seeing so far, skipping cut scenes isn't a problem.
They'll put anything important in your journal. Not reading the
journal tends to be a problem for me. I'm used to playing games where
that kind of thing is just fluff. This isn't one of those games and
for me at least, that took some getting used to.

I'm a fan of Mass Effect 2 which is about as streamlined as you can
get and still be called an RPG but I had to change gears before I
could get into the witcher 2. The pacing is completely different and I
can see where some people won't enjoy it. But for me, warts and all, I
really like this game.

I haven't seen anything like that.
