So, you already know the retail publisher.

Hmm, neither Atari nor Namco have made any statement about their
Witcher2 retail-boxed DRM. 

However, Atari likes Tages (Witcher1) or SecureRom
(3-strike-authentication on Riddick Athena) and Namco likes UbiSoft's
"always-on" DRM.... Neither have had a history of releasing retail PC
game-titles without any DRM.

Maybe either or both leopards will change their usual spots just for
Witcher2 ??

With Amazon, you can cancel your pre-order any time before their
release date if you discover that the DRM status does not meet your
expectations.

I shall not be buying Witcher2 on "release-day", so your 'DRM
discovery' will help me narrow down my purchasing choice.
