<div>In early February 2022, Microsoft unveiled a new version of its search engine Bing, with its standout feature being its AI chatbot that is powered by more advanced technology than ChatGPT, OpenAI's GPT-4.</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>bing chat download</div><div></div><div>Download File: https://t.co/0ZqdU3Fv7D </div><div></div><div></div><div>With Copilot, you can ask the AI chatbot questions and get detailed, human-like responses with footnotes that link back to the original sources. Since the chatbot is connected to the internet, it has the ability to provide you with up-to-date information, which is another capability that ChatGPT's free version doesn't boast.</div><div></div><div></div><div>The chatbot can help you with your creative desires, such as writing a poem, essay, or song. It can solve complex math or coding tasks, and it can even generate images from text by using Bing's Image Creator within the same platform.</div><div></div><div></div><div>The most recent and biggest change occurred in November 2023, when Microsoft shifted the branding of its popular AI chatbot from Bing Chat to Copilot. In addition to changing the name, the shift made Bing Chat more of a standalone experience, like its major competitor, ChatGPT, with its own standalone web page.</div><div></div><div></div><div>GPT-4 Turbo can take a chatbot's abilities to new limits with knowledge of world events up to April 2023 and a 128k context window that allows it to fit more than 300 pages of text in a single prompt.</div><div></div><div></div><div>On February 7, 2023, Microsoft announced the new Bing in limited preview, meaning only a select number of people had access to it. This announcement came a day after Google announced its AI chatbot, Google Bard.</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>Yes, Copilot is accessible on mobile for both iPhone and Android devices via the Bing app. Although it's not solely dedicated to the chatbot, Copilot can be found in the bottom bar front and center as soon as you open the app.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Select users were given early access to the chatbot, and they were not shy about sharing their experiences. Many of these users tested the chatbot's capabilities and exposed its flaws, which were varied.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Consequently, Microsoft reeled in the chatbot with a new session limit, changing chat sessions from unlimited to a five-question limit, and a 50-chat turn limit per day. That limit was then expanded to six chat turns per session and 60 total chats per day, still less than the original experience users got.</div><div></div><div></div><div>ZDNET has tested both Copilot and Open AI's ChatGPT chatbot. We found Bing's version solved some of the major problems we had with ChatGPT, including knowledge of current events via internet access, and footnotes with links to sources from the information it pulled.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Copilot is also the only way to access OpenAI's latest LLM, GPT-4, and its multimodal input features for free. For these reasons, Copilot, formerly Bing Chat, earned its spot as ZDNET's overall best AI chatbot.</div><div></div><div></div><div>The chat tab focuses on more conversational language, which provides lots of suggestions on the types of questions you can ask. These include links to learn more, suggested follow-up questions, and functions much more like a traditional search engine.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Image Creator in Bing Chat allows you to ask Bing to not only create images but also tweak them as you refine your prompts. As Bing Chat already does, the conversation flows naturally, taking previous prompts and chat history into consideration.</div><div></div><div></div><div>But from what we can tell, there are still limits on conversations. As of now, the daily limit has been increased to 150 chats per day and 15 chats per session. Once you hit 15 chats in a session, Bing Chat will ask you to move on to a new topic. ChatGPT does not have this limit.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Open up a PDF in your browser (it doesn't even have to be online, it can be a local file). Then open the Discover sidebar by clicking the Bing icon in the top right corner of the Edge Dev browser. It will open chat in the Discover sidebar. Type "summarize this PDF" and Bing Chat will summarize the document. You can also ask it to give you bullet points of major takeaways, etc. (If it is the first time doing this it will also ask you for permission to access the webpage or document.)</div><div></div><div></div><div>When organizations and employees use generative AI services, it's important to understand how these services handle user and chat data. Because employee chats may contain sensitive data, Copilot is designed to protect this information, as illustrated here:</div><div></div><div></div><div>Copilot is a connected service where Microsoft is the data controller. Users' prompts leave your organization's Microsoft 365 tenant boundary to reach the Copilot service. When commercial data protection is enabled, Microsoft doesn't retain this data beyond a short caching period for runtime purposes. After the browser is closed, the chat topic is reset, or the session times out, Microsoft discards all prompts and responses.</div><div></div><div></div><div>To provide chat responses, Copilot uses global data centers for processing and may process data in the United States. Optional, Bing-backed connected experiences don't fall under Microsoft's EU Data Boundary (EUDB) commitment. Learn more: Continuing Data Transfers that apply to all EU Data Boundary services. They also don't fall under the terms of the Data Protection Addendum (DPA) which requires company data to remain inside geographic or tenant boundaries.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Safeguarding information is the key benefit to using Copilot with Data Protection. When you use the enterprise version of Copilot, Microsoft does not store or view your chats. Your queries are encrypted, and Microsoft does not use UNC-Chapel Hill data or queries to train any of its models.</div><div></div><div></div><div>The new Bing is now available to everybody directly from the Windows taskbar, making more ways to interact with your PC across search, answers, chat, and creation available anytime, right on your desktop.</div><div></div><div></div><div>This article -apps/bing/how-to-get-started-with-bing-chat-on-microsoft-edge says that you must be signed into your Microsoft account. Well, I normally use Google's Chrome browser but i'm aware that Google have a concept of a "Google account", and if I go to google.com or gmail.com and log in then i'm signed into my google account and signed into any google service whether gmail or google docs or whatever. I don't know to what extent that does or doesn't parallel with Microsoft's concept of a microsoft account. I do have an address outlook.com which I guess counts as a microsoft account.</div><div></div><div></div><div>I tried going to bing.com (bing being Microsoft's search engine that has been around since 2009 which I know is nothing to do with Bing chat). And I clicked signed in and managed to sign in using my outlook.com address.</div><div></div><div></div><div>We broke a story on prompt injection soon after researchers discovered it in September. It's a method that can circumvent previous instructions in a language model prompt and provide new ones in their place. Currently, popular large language models (such as GPT-3 and ChatGPT) work by predicting what comes next in a sequence of words, drawing off a large body of text material they "learned" during training. Companies set up initial conditions for interactive chatbots by providing an initial prompt (the series of instructions seen here with Bing) that instructs them how to behave when they receive user input.</div><div></div><div></div><div>University of Miami faculty and staff can access Bing Chat Enterprise by visiting bing.com/chat and/or via the Microsoft Edge for Business sidebar. Ensure you are logged in to the Internet browser* with your UM email (e.g., sign in first to email.miami.edu with your CaneID email and password, and then navigate to bing.com/chat).</div><div></div><div></div><div>Bing Chat Enterprise is secure as it provides AI-powered chat for an organization with data protection. Conversely, ChatGPT is an open-source chatbot, which means anyone can access its code and modify it. This poses a security risk, as malicious actors can modify the code and use it to carry out cyberattacks.</div><div></div><div></div><div>I don't know if can be useful for your case, but I use chatgpt a lot and before asking a problem I usually give a working example to 'train' the AI. Writing code is not my job, but thanks to these new instruments I'm able to make very difficult tasks (for me): for example yesterday I made something like this in my application. Anyway you made a very useful test.</div><div></div><div></div><div>For example, imagine you have lots and lots of documents, and you need to have specialized chat bots that focus on giving answers and key points/summarizations about different topics, like code of conduct compliance, or details about SAP processes or about the sustainability of your marine transport operations all that with links to the source documents used to give the responses.</div><div></div><div></div><div>For example if ask a code of conduct chat bot something generic like "What are gifts?" then you will get some explanation (related to its own context of code of conduct) and also a link to the documentation to support that answer:</div><div></div><div></div><div>Microsoft Copilot does not save any chat history, and it does not retain chat prompts or responses. Microsoft has no eyes-on access to it to train the underlying models. Copilot also doesn't have access to organizational resources or content within Microsoft 365, such as Word documents or PowerPoint presentations. Only content provided in the chat by users is accessible to Copilot.</div><div></div><div></div><div>We ran a diary study with 18 participants: 8 used the newest version of ChatGPT (4.0), 5 used Bard, and 5 used Bing Chat. The participants had various levels of experience with the chatbots: some had used them before, some had used one bot but tested another in the study, and others had heard about them but had not used them.</div><div></div><div></div><div>One participant was looking for things to do on a Friday night in Nashville. Bing Chat failed to provide any results first, only listing a few websites with no information about any of them. She rephrased the questions several times and asked for free events instead. The bot finally provided her with a few free event names and links to various sites. When she followed the links, she discovered that the events were, in fact, not free. At that point, she gave up chatting with the bot.</div><div></div><div></div><div>[The video interface] was almost too simple. I worried about navigating away from the chat would be like, okay, if I go back it's gonna have lost its place and where it was talking to me and especially with the video feature. So I, I did enjoy that it was like kind of self-contained [video player] within the chat.</div><div></div><div> df19127ead</div>
