Hi,

ARAnyM <http://aranym.org/> is the GNU/GPL ATARI Virtual Machine
from which a minimal configuration, the *miniPack* is distributed
<http://eureka.atari.org/miniPack.zip> miniPack is modified with
the new release of HDDriver v.10.0.3 and EmuTOS 0.9.8. It supports :

`Run_win` allows launching on PC with Windows
`MacAranym` allows launching on PPC Macintosh with OS X
`MacAranym JIT` allows launching on IntelMac with OS X
`run_x86.sh` allows launching on PC with x86-Linux
`run_ppc.sh` allows launching on Mac _and_ PS3 with PPC-Linux

So Macintosh-PC-PlayStation3 are all supported with Windows,
OS X and GNU/Linux.

This simple ARAnyM configuration is running on any machine.
Here is a screenshot <http://eureka.atari.org/aranym.gif>

Enjoy, it's yours =)

Hi, Francois,

Perhaps an updated .GIF is needed, using a new/current version of the
Apple OS. :-)

My 27" iMac from mid-2010 is still hosted with Snow Leopard. I hope
a new Macintosh will bring me a new macOS version, like rumours are
talking about. But for the moment, the screenshot is up to my usage.

Can you make an image from your screen, so that I can figure it out ?
Since ARAnyM's mailing lists are down, I don't have much news about
people using it. And I wonder whether it is still working or not :-)

Thanks,

Best regards,

Snow Leopard, 10.6, is ancient. LOL My iMac came with Leopard, 10.5.
I'm now running El Capitan, 10.11. Current version for new Macs is
MacOS, 10.12.

Is that sufficient, or is there something else I can try to provide?

Oh yes, but ATARI computers are very old computers too, indeed ;-)

A screenshot ? Please ...

Here is <http://eureka.atari.org/AtariElCapitan.jpg> one, on an iMac
Intel Core 2 Duo, early 2009, OS X 10.11.6 from a man called Manfred.
The miniPack runs under Mac OS X El Capitan, and it's just what I want
to know. Does it also run on your Apple Operating System ?

Thanks,

Regards,

It runs as far as setting it up, LOL I need to read the instructions
on how to use it before going any further. But seeing that Atari screen
was sure a welcoming sight.

I was told by a man called Claude, miniPack runs under macOS 10.12.5.
Well, this is a beta version from Sierra, but he sent me a screenshot.
miniPack exhaustively runs on every versions of Mac OS X, the very
latest, but even with PowerPC Apple computers, with a specific binary.

Instructions are not complicated, because miniPack is running "out-of-
the-box" just being uncompressed. You just have to open the generated
folder, and click over the binary. This is the first working proof that
it runs. This is the case on every computers. It runs everywhere =)
It doesn't matter if you have an old one, or if it's not up-to-date !

I would be pleased if you send a screenshot. It must be running anyway.

Regards,
