Hi Atarians, This should not be a usual commercial. I want you to know that we ( Frederick Meißner, the hoster of the Profibuch and myself ) have set up a Jabber server for the Atari scene. To be understood, right now, there is no native jabber client for Atari! For those running MiNT, MCabber ( http://mcabber.com/, the successor of well known cabber ) might be pretty straightforward. Its a console client using ncurses, like rhapsody IRC or pico editor. Another workaround to connect to Jabber with your Atari, called BitlBee ( http://www.bitlbee.org ). This is a software that acts as gateway between IRC and Jabber (and other IM protocols). You connect via aIRC to it, and have a room with your online buddys in. We also have talked to Joakim to implement the XMPP protokol to aICQ. Another port could be Psi as a desktop client ( http://psi-im.org ). Understatement, it will be a big task) If you want a Jabber Domain with "Atari" in it, join us at http://www.atari-jabber.org bye Bernd
