So I logged in after an absence, it doesn't look like there is much life
left here. Anyone still around or is everyone now on AtariAge?

I'm here!

But yes, AtariAge is no question where the most discussion takes place
these days. English language, anyway.

I'm not much of a fan of web based forums, although I'm on AtariAge quite a
bit. :-)

BTW, just caught your interview on the Antic podcast!

Yeah, they've done some far more interesting interviews than that one. :)

I'm here, but just lurk since my 800 system is sitting in a box. :-(

My Atari-8, C64, TI99/4a, etc... are also in limbo
since I have discovered the Apple II thru Apple IIgs.

I didn't know that AtariAge has a forum that everyone
is going for Atari-8 discussion. I need to get on there.

I'm not ready to move on to something else yet. I've been upgrading my
Ataris, everything I wanted 25 years ago is now affordable. :)

Yes, I was able to buy all the stuff I wanted as a kid at thrift stores
over the last 20 years. It's been great. Now the problem is that the
stuff has caught on again so it's harder to find and more expensive! :)

I agree Trevor, I used to get stuff around for nothing at garage sales and thrift stores. Sometimes in the classifieds I found some buys but now it is moving to ebay and wanting crazy money for it.

Hi Bill,

I am in the process of adding one or two Atari's to my lab. I like what I
see with Sparta DOS X and also with cc65. This looks like great fun. Since I
have my Apple //e and IIgs, and many working Commodores (64,128) etc. it may
be that I need to get more than one Atari to balance out.

I have a good deal of study to do. But at this point some kind of 800 and
something else is what I am thinking.

My end-game is development. There are many new peripherals that I see as
well.

What are your thoughts?

Bill

I really got back into mine at Christmas. Almost an obsession now, lol!

I was setting up an emulator on a Raspberry Pi just for fun, and my wife
asked why I didn't just pull out the real Atari stuff. I haven't done
that in a while, but I'm thinking of setting it all up again in the
basement to use with the kids. Maybe it will spark their interest in
computers, since our Windows machine isn't doing it.
