| Subject | Reading the hex data from an Atari 800 cartridge. |
| From | tomcees_calculator@yahoo.com |
I would like to read the contents of an Atari 800 cartridge (for instance Pac Man, or BASIC). Certainly, if I simply start up the system with the cart in the Left Hand slot, the OS will treat it appropriately and run it. Is there a simple method (that someone has proven and used) to 'fool' the system that the cart is not there and then let me read the cart contents (via a ML or other compiled program). Or, possibly, with BASIC in the LH slot, install the cart to be 'read' into the RH slot and read it from there (I understand of course that my code hat reads the cart must be adjusted for the RH slot). Any recommendations? Thank you in advance for any helpful advice, TomC
