I do get the difference between a real newsgroup reader and google
groups. Since the last time this topic came up I certainly didn't know
and I suspect from the responses some people weren't aware of it
either, there is google groups killfile functionality for firefox. You
need to get
grease monkey
http://www.greasespot.net/
then d/l a script
http://www.penney.org/ggkiller.html

It seems to work slicker then snot on a doorknob for routine killfile
by author and I think it works with wildcards. Now if I could only
figure out how to get it to killfile by subject...
