This printer appears to support the IPP/IPPS protocols so you could try 
installing/setting up the IPP printing  (via your network not USB) which 
will be how your Android is doing the printing.

In terms of Postscript, are you using the Postscript 3 printer drivers, or 
the older Postscript 2. You really need to be using Postscript 3 on modern 
printers ideally.
