Doesn't 'Brompton' provide a heavier grade of spokes you could fit to

Now modified in the saddle, and handlebar department. Surprisingly
comfortable bikes just astonishingly high maintenance (2 sets of rear
cogs each year and the standard alloy chainwheel needs replacing
often).

No. Eventually the rear wheel settles down, in my case after replacing
around ten spokes. In my partner's case she had four spokes replaced
under guarantee and since then I have replaced one.

You mean "Loogaberooga" which is the way an American couple pronounced it
when asking me for directions from Leicester to Loughborough 30 odd years
ago, in the end they had to write it down for me to understand - 2 nations
separated by a common language!

Serbian is completely phonetic. Unfortunately it is completely
phonetic with two different alphabets, both in common use.

Not so different to Katakana vs Hiragana. And that's before you get to
the hard part. ;-) Not to mention there's a fair amount of Latin
lettering around, which is a further two alphabets (given the difference
between many upper and lower case letters).

The funniest part is that the road (name) signs are in cyrillic, and
the same names are in latin on the street maps.

(Glad I can read cyrillic, though the extra letters over Russian
confused me until I consulted wikipedia).

Is there any way of entering Cyrillic on RISC OS? (On Linux there is a
phonetic cyrillic keyboard layout, that can be switched.)

It is (or was about 1990) possible. I knew a Russian teacher who was ecstatic
when he found he was able to produce Cyrillic test. I don't have a clue what he
used to do it though :(

I suppose you could do it if you used a font which mapped to the
appropriate keys?

I just tried (RISC OS 5, RPCEmu) stuff like *Keyboard Russia and *Co.

EFF (Electronic Font Foundry) sell proper Cyrillic fonts (Times &
Helvetica versions, i.e. serif and sans-serif) together with a
keyboard module to switch between Latin & Cyrillic versions. They're
high quality fonts and the keyboard module came with a helpful layout
of where all the Cyrillic keys are to be found on a keyboard.

(Somewhat different from the old days when you had to remove the
innards of a typewriter and swap them for a Cyrillic version!)

But also see on comp.sys.acorn.announce of 17 Nov: Paul Spranger's
notice about !KeyMap update.

I know that Jon Robinson has been active in developing a facility to
do what you require.
