The following MDF, on my RiscPC, 2MB VRAM, drives a Samsung b1930 18.5"
screen, which has a resolution of 1360 x 768. Your LG screen is probably
similar. I am not familiar with the Iyonix video arrangements but they
are not likely to be more restrictive than those of the RiscPC, and you
may be able to increase the refresh rate of the full-screen mode from
58Hz to 60Hz. Not that this is visually important for an LCD display,
but it may enable auto-adjust to work on that mode (see below).

   # Mode definition file for Samsung b1930

   # Monitor Information used by MDFedit
   # minline:31000
   # maxline:80000

   # min_vsync:0

   file_format:1

   # 640 x 480 (60.0549 Hz)

     mode_name:640 x 480 (60.0549 Hz)
     x_res:640
     y_res:480

   # 1024 x 768 (60.0038 Hz)

     mode_name:1024 x 768 (60.0038 Hz)
     x_res:1024
     y_res:768
     pixel_rate:65000
     h_timings:136,64,60,1024,60,0
     v_timings:6,29,0,768,0,3
     sync_pol:3
   endmode

   # 1360 x 768 (57.9754 Hz)
   startmode
     mode_name:1360 x 768 (57.9754 Hz)
     x_res:1360
     y_res:768
     pixel_rate:77400
     h_timings:92,136,76,1360,46,6
     v_timings:3,4,0,768,0,3
     sync_pol:3
   endmode

   # end

The Samsung monitor's auto-adjust system locks-on to the first three
modes, but the last, full screen mode, requires manual adjustment of the
monitor's settings, as follows:

   Picture
      Coarse 1716
      Fine 0
   Size and position
      H-Position 99
      V-Position 0
      Image size auto [default]

If you auto-adjust the last mode, by mistake, the display screws up, and
it is necessary to re-set, and start again.

Tony

Yes it does Tony and better than other attempts too. I shall happily
settle down with this,

Kindest regards
