Not all day, no. OK all morning until my last fetch at 1127,
but by 1642 POP3 e-mail was failing.

Extract from POPStar log:-

30 Oct 20:18:39 130 --> mail.walking-in-belgium.co.uk
30 Oct 20:18:39 150 +OK Dovecot ready.
30 Oct 20:18:39 160 Sent command "USER
admin@walking-in-belgium.co.uk"
30 Oct 20:18:39 160 Awaiting response to USER
admin@walking-in-belgium.co.uk command
30 Oct 20:18:39 150 +OK
30 Oct 20:18:39 160 Sent command "PASS <password>"
30 Oct 20:18:39 160 Awaiting response to PASS xxxx command

Seems OK so far...

30 Oct 20:18:40 030 Unexpected response to PASS command
30 Oct 20:18:40 030 -ERR Internal error occurred. Refer to
server log for more information. [2011-10-30 20:18:53]
30 Oct 20:18:40 030 POP3 server at
mail.walking-in-belgium.co.uk rejected our password for user
'admin@walking-in-belgium.co.uk'. (Reply to PASS command:
-ERR Internal error occurred. Refer to server log for more
information. [2011-10-30 20:18:53])

...and then it went pear-shaped.

Same for the other two domains that they host for me...

And no mention of anything on Twitter for a week...

I do not (normally) send e-mail via PurleyHosting, though I
do revert to them sometimes when e-mail sent via my usual
SMTP server gets blacklisted. Not sure why a firm of lawyers
in maryland would blacklist a server run by a bank in
Germany, but I guess that is the internet...

I was starting to wonder... PHP and the client areas on the website are
broken, too. Standard pages still seem to serve correctly.

Yes. I've just sent a grumpy email to support, but I might try phoning on
the off-chance as well.

So much for the "improved reliability at the new datacentre", then.

Yes, my three websites seem to be OK, so it "just" seems to
be e-mail.

No, the CJE Micro's website seems to be not working properly either - I
use PHP to create the pricelist and individual product pages, and they
now say "An error occured while processing this directive" :-(

I do not use any "fancy" stuff like PHP, just plain HTML
pages.

No e-mail errors on log in this morning.

From Twitter comments sems to have been another problem with
the new server 6.

Presumably today?

Mail was arriving until around midday here. Since then nothing.

Neil's mobile 'phone has a message on it (somewhat garbled - I thought
it said September!) but it states that there is an email problem. It
also states that updates will be on Twitter. However, nothing yet -
presumably it's not a quick fix.

Website re-direction is still working but only the front page of
PurleyHosting seems to be accessible - you can't log into administer
accounts or use cPanel.

Same here.
Can ping my (pseudo)server (mail.abbeypress.co.uk) but can't log in.

I suppose Neil Spellings is away for the weekend again. Glitches like
this always happen on weekends, it seems. Not good.

It all seems to be up again, and their Twitter feed has woken up too...

It's not. A second grumpy email has been sent.
