This sort of nonsense box ticking seems to be everywhere. After 24
years as a Governor of an independent Anglicn North Yorkshire girls
school, I have recently been required to take an online quiz about
identifying children in danger from being corrupted by extremists.
I am, needless to say, delighted at the perspicacity of those in
charge at the DFES who have recognised that a school such as this is a
rich hunting ground for extremist propaganda and have decided that the
inspectorate will mark us down if evey Governor does not have the
requisite bit of paper and are spending my money in such a worthwhile
cause.
