Compartment problems.

Apparently... The brain has a need to put things in boxes, so when you
move from one room in a house to another room, something you had to
remember in the first room is missing once you step into the second room,
as the brain is now running a new box.
It is still there, but in a box put to the back in the stack.

I'll give you an example:

Earlier today I was in the kitchen downstairs having a cup 'o Rosy Lee,
while there I thought about something I needed to Google when I was back
upstairs in the office.

But after I left the kitchen the thought was lost, and I was only part way
up the stairs when I realised I couldn't remember what it was I needed to
remember... Though I could remember there was something I couldn't
remember, but not what it was... ;-)

So I went back down to the kitchen, picked up a (Now empty) cup and
remembered.

Reinforced the memory by repeating it as I walked out of the kitchen,
upstairs into a new brain box of the office.

Remembered okay and Googled.

Some people call them senior moments, but apparently it also happens a lot
to much younger folks as well.

Dave
