I actually resorted to email to get the file over to RISC OS, using GMail 
on the phone to send it to my domain email address. Getting files from the 
phone on to the PC is easy, but when using LanMan 98 it fails to come over 
to RISC OS with the error "Connection down", although other files transfer 
OK from the PC to this machine.

I tried using my NAS (Synology DS115J) as an intermediate step, and that 
worked OK, so either way I'm sorted for now.
