Question:

Why you didn't use Zip format or 7Zip format ?


Answer:

Parallel archiver use its own format, but it still useful
when you want to compress and/or encrypt your
data internaly inside your company , or on your computer(s),
but when you want to give your data to others , you can use other zip 
tools or...  but since it will be ported to other platforms such
us Linux and Mac OSX  and will have its graphical user
interface perhaps, that will be a good thing also.
