I happened to notice a Ceaco made "Hello Blink" label printer in a store
recently. Tiny printer making thermal print stickers, targeting kids who
want to design, print, and then color in (it comes with markers)
stickers. Wireless, via bluetooth, and uses a proprietary app.

So my question is, has anyone found a way to print to it without the
proprietary app? The pricing for the printer leads me to suspect
expensive print materials AND printer app privacy nightmare and/or
printer app will update to a version that charges to print.

Dubious.

The printer is about the size of a small fries from McDonalds and about
the cost of a x-large Dominos pizza around here. Such a device could be
fun, but not if there's an app-lock-in.
