Not my machine.  There is no way I wold be granted access tot he hardware.
There is no way they would install hardware on it specifically for me.
There is no way they are going to shut down a machine with a potential
8000 users (at least it has that many accounts) to install a disk for
me.

Run tar on a directory.  Don't pay attention and out the tarfile in
that directory.  Watch it grow to fill the whole disk as it tries to
put itself into the tar archive.
